Step 1: Configure the basic settings

The menu item "Settings" is divided into the sub-areas Project Overview and Project Settings. General information on the project can be displayed and edited in the area Project Overview. Other project participants can be assigned to the BIM project under the tab Participants. Each user receives views and rights specially tailored to their role in the BIM process. 

In the area Project Settings, it is determined which architecture software, IFC scheme, classifications or languages are relevant for the project and should be used. When defining the corresponding software or the preferred IFC scheme, BIMQ uses a reference guideline which supports the user in the later mapping process and ensures a consistent workflow. If information regarding language definitions or other classifications such as DIN 276 is required, this can be created in the relevant tab.
