Software Templates for Allplan

Allplan - Export of the exchange requirements

 1.     In the menu bar, click on Documentation and then on Software Templates.

2.     Select the software "Allplan" from the first drop-down list

3.     Then select in the second drop-down list Type the "Bimplus export" for the export of attributes or "IFC mapping file" for the export of the configuration of the IFC translator.

4.     Select from the dropdown list the desired Actor and the Discipline Model 

5.     Place a check next to project phases and use cases, these are then taken into account in the output.

6.     Click Export.

 

To use the Allplan interface a Bimplus access is required 

Project template:

• 1st line: The project template automatically receives the name of the project guideline. This name is also displayed in BIMPLUS as a template name.

• 2nd line: Enter your login email for Bimplus here.

• 3rd line: Enter your password for Bimplus here.

• 4th line: Enter the team name of the project room on BIMPLUS to which the project template is to be exported.

1.     Click on OK.

The attribute requirements are now transferred from BIMQ to Bimplus and are immediately available to the planner. All attribute reqirements can be synchronized with the desired model in ALLPLAN.

Allplan - Use of the exchange requirements

The software templates from BIMQ can be used in Allplan / Bimplus for various projects.

In Bimplus you will find the previously exported template of BIMQ and you can assign it to the project.

Assignment of a project template


For the data transfer from Bimplus to Allplan, the model must be connected to Bimplus. The information in the project template is imported into the Allplan model using the import button. The parameter templates are automatically attached to the corresponding elements in the model.

If you now want to enrich the parameter templates with information, proceed as follows (example door):

Right-click on a door and click the "Modify Attributes" function. Now you can start entering the corresponding parameters.

After the model has been assigned, it can be exported to an IFC file corresponding to the AIA. To do this, select Allplan's standard IFC export tool and select the IFC mapping file exported from BIMQ.

1. Click on Documentation and then on Software templates in the menu bar.

2. Select Allplan from the Software drop-down list.

3. Then select the IFC mapping file in the second drop-down list Type.

4. In the third drop-down list Interface format, select the required IFC scheme.

5. In the fourth dropdown list, select the desired Actor

6. In the fourth dropdown list, select the desired Discipline Model

7. Place a check next to the desired Project phase and the Use case that is to be exported.

8. Then click on the export icon to export the selected settings.

 

9. A "Bimplus Login Details" dialog box appears in which the following must be completed:

  •  1st line: Enter your login email for Bimplus here.

  •  2nd line: Enter your password for Bimplus here.

  •  3rd line: Enter the team name of the project space on Bimplus here

 

10. Click on OK (green check mark)

This dialog is used to get the current data from Bimplus and then to create a .CFG file that can be saved locally on the computer. This is required for the later IFC export from Allplan.

Allplan - Use of the IFC-Mapping file

1. In the IFC export area of Allplan, click on the settings icon.

2. Use the Find… command to find the corresponding IFC mapping file in CFG format from your local memory under the exchange profiles.

3. Confirm with OK.
