Overview

A property-centered view is available as a report type. Properties are compared with objects in order to recognize in which objects this property is configured.

(Please note that, depending on the export settings, this is not the same as your requirements definition of a use case).

By focusing on the properties, this provides a basis for further coordination. A suitable basis for recognizing whether you need to refine your project further.

Configuration

You can find the export within your project under Documentation / Reports / Excel.

Clicking the Information Needs Overview button opens a dialog. Here you can influence the content of your report. In addition to the selection for the necessary compartment models, you can also make further settings.

Attributes

Each property is clearly described by name & code. Together with the sorting into the respective property group, this already provides a compact overview. The following additional information can be provided for each property:

• Units - Missing definitions of units are highlighted (missing content).

• Actors - Different actors (compared to discipline model) are highlighted (changing)

• Description - Different descriptions are highlighted (changing)

Extended settings

The Required components only option can be used to influence the result set of the export. If this option is active, only the properties that are assigned to at least one use case are taken into account.

Special features

Redundant definitions - A property with the same name and code exists several times in the templates. We recommend correcting this if possible, as otherwise problems are to be expected with further actions.
